My Lifelong Love for Sweet Treats
I’ve always had a sweet tooth since I was young, and it’s only getting more noticeable as I age gracefully. Of course, I try to ignore the growing waistline because there’s one dessert I simply cannot resist — CHEESECAKE! It’s an absolute must-have in my diet every month.I have always had a sweet tooth since I was young. It is getting more apparent as I age gracefully.
Choosing to ignore the growing waistline, I cannot get enough of one dessert—CHEESECAKES! Yes, a must-have in my diet each month.
Why Cheesecake Steals My Heart
There’s a saying: “You are what you eat!” Perhaps that explains why I’m constantly fascinated by the ingredients that go into creating such incredible cheesecakes. Although I’m neither a baker nor someone who loves spending time in the kitchen, I’m amazed by how few ingredients it takes to make one.
Indeed, there’s a myriad of cheesecake flavours on the market. However, one particular type has completely won me over.
Discovering Belgian Chocolate Cheesecake
Recently, as my usual monthly craving hit, I stumbled upon Baker’s Luv’s range of cheesecakes. Guess what? I simply couldn’t resist the Belgian Burnt Basque Cheesecake. After all, it uses Belgian chocolate, and I absolutely had to try it.
My love affair with Belgian chocolate actually began back in December 1995 while I was in Melbourne, Australia. A gift from one of my uncle’s friends changed everything for me. From the very first bite, I was hooked. It was the smoothest chocolate I’d ever tasted. Since then, I’ve learned that Belgian chocolate is considered among the finest in the world.

Tasting the Heavenly Dessert
Now, let’s get back to my cheesecake. Pardon the amateur photo of my Belgian Burnt Basque Cheesecake. There’s no watermark because I was too eager to taste it and forgot to snap a slice shot! The rich aroma of Belgian chocolate is simply indescribable.
Each bite melts effortlessly, gliding down my throat like liquid gold. Desserts have always been my comfort food. However, this mousse-like Belgian Burnt Basque Cheesecake takes indulgence to a whole new level. It’s so divine that I often end up having not just one slice, but two, sometimes even for breakfast!
It pairs beautifully with my favourite Darjeeling tea and becomes the perfect treat for unwinding over the weekend.
Indulge Guilt-Free (Mostly!)
For those who are health-conscious, I’ve shared some nutrition facts above. On the other hand, if you’re like me and belong to the 92% or 66% categories in the report below, I say go ahead. Indulge and pamper yourself. It’s simply worth it!

Have You Tried Baking It?
Recently, I discovered that a few people have even tried baking this cake in an air fryer. If that’s you, please share your experience in the comments below. Feel free to include pictures!
As for me, I’m honest enough to admit I’m simply too lazy to bake it myself. Therefore, I’ll just keep ordering mine from Baker’s Luv. By the way, Baker’s Luv won the Best Bakery for Halal Awards in 2020 in Singapore. If you’d like to place an order, remember to do so a week in advance. Conveniently, they even offer delivery straight to your doorstep.
